Azim Premji University was established in 2010. Its third campus is in Itki, on the outskirts of Ranchi. Spread over 150 acres, the University campus will also have a hospital as well as a medical college. The construction will be phased out over five to seven years. The first phase is slated for completion by July 2026. MA in Applied Economics and MA in Development will be the first two programmes offered at this campus.
Launched in 2024 to support girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue college education, the Scholarship initiative now covers all districts of Jharkhand. For the year 2025-26, we have offered the scholarship to 11,834 girls in Jharkhand.

The creches, launched in September 2023 in Jharkhand, seek to improve the nutritional status of vulnerable children in the age group of seven months to three years. Called ‘Shishu Ghar’, these creches provide daily care, hot cooked meals, early stimulation, and growth monitoring. We run creches in 18 blocks of Ranchi, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, West Singhbhum, and Pakur districts.
